If you’re feeling a little saucy, #thesolfood brings you the perfect 15 minute Alfredo Pasta Sauce recipe. It’s undemanding, yum and does not test your patience, for real.
Here’s how you can make it—
Ingredients
200g Cashew nuts (roasted)
1 1/2 cup Milk (diary, cashew or almond milk)
2 cloves Garlic
2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
2 tsp Salt
Pepper to taste
Process
Soak cashew nuts in piping hot water for 5 minutes. Overnight soaking works well, too.
Once your 5 minutes is up, add soaked cashew, dairy-free milk, garlic, nutritional yeast, nutmeg, salt, and pepper and blend them until smooth.
You can serve the sauce right away. If you pour it on pasta and veggies and warm them together in a frying pan, the alfredo sauce will thicken.
*adding Parmesan cheese and butter or olive oil while mixing is optional
