Showing appreciation can be tricky. By thanking someone we admire or love, we express gratitude and help the other person acknowledge the appreciation we hold for them. And sometimes it feels like there is not good enough way to do that. By offering heartfelt appreciation, we recognize their thoughtfulness and kind gesture.

At times, a simple “thank you” tends to be good enough. But sometimes, we wish to do something more for them; it’s worth thanking them in a more meaningful and tangible manner, we feel.

So here are four creative ways of thanking someone when you are not happy with merely sending a thank you text.

  • Give a forever gift

The key to sustainability is ensuring to use the item for its entire longevity.

Make it something that can use over and over. Whether it’s a candle, it may come in a lovely vessel. If it’s a flower, place it in timeless ceramics. Not only can these sustainable gifts convey gratitude, but they also reflect the love and guarantee that the recipient’s good deeds will continue indefinitely.

  • Write them a digital letter

A letter recognizing how much you appreciate them, recognizing their worth, and how important they are in your life, is usually what people need to get through their days with a happier and relieved sense of self. You can even add in a touch of personalization by adding artwork and other inside jokes to help the person remember you every time they look at it.

  • Make a donation under their name

Take your gratitude and use it to make the world a much better place to be. Please find out more about their favourite organization of the cause. Visit the website, make a call, or go to the organization’s office. Donate and do so in the name of your friend. Many charities will also give an e-card to remind the user of the donation—all you need to do is request! Alternatively, go green and plant a tree in their honour.

  • Send them their favourite food

There is nothing better than food to make someone’s day. It could be takeout from their favourite pizza joint or a full dinner spread; if you have the means to send them something, food is always welcome.
